2005-2006 Off-Ramp Season
The Story
A hallucinatory story crawling with pests and paranoia, isolation and delusion, with a touch of terror and a dash of humor. Peter is a young Gulf War vet who may be AWOL and believes he’s been subjected to government germ warfare experiments. Agnes, a scrappy, drug-addled woman, is holed up in a seedy Oklahoma City motel to escape her violent ex-con ex-husband. Peter’s arrival in her life opens a Pandora’s Box as they are visited by mysterious strangers, haunted by events from their pasts and attacked by bugs. Winner of the 2004 Lortel Award for Best Play Off-Broadway.
