Misalliance
By George Bernard Shaw
Directed by John Going
1995-1996 Mainstage Season
The Story
This clever fantasy about eight courtships among seven people brings to our stage an abundance of Shaw’s spectacular verbal wit. When Lina, the aviatrix/acrobat, crashes her aeroplane into the greenhouse of a proper English country estate, she changes the course of everyone’s life. This comedy about love, marriage and the generation gap is as witty, impudent and insightful today as when it was written nearly a century ago.
