The Syringa Tree

2002-2003 Studio Season
The Story
An evocative memoir of the love between two families- one black, one white- sharing a South African home. First seen through the eyes of a six-year-old girl trying to make sense of the chaos and magic of her new world, this one-woman play follows the families through four generations from early apartheid to present day free South Africa.
