The Story
Three brutal, often explosive days of harrowing deliberation by a racially mixed jury resonate with the current issues of race and responsibility, as the jury considers the fate of a prominent black man accused of buying cocaine. The notion of a jury of one’s peers is not as simple as it sounds—in a society divided by race and class, one’s peers can be difficult, if not impossible, to identify.
