POSITION SUMMARY

The Marketing Associate will play a key role in supporting the marketing efforts of The Rep. This position is responsible for assisting in the execution of marketing strategies to increase ticket sales, enhance audience engagement, and build The Rep’s brand presence. The ideal candidate is a creative, detail-oriented individual with a passion for the arts and a knack for digital marketing.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

EMAIL MARKETING: Help create and distribute email campaigns, track performance, and optimize for higher open and click-through rates.

EVENT SUPPORT: Provide marketing support and materials for events, including opening nights, special performances, and community outreach activities.

PROGRAM AD SWAPS AND LOCAL LISTINGS: Coordinate ad swaps with local theaters and other community organizations. Ensure timely submission and receipt of ad materials. Submit event information to local online and print community calendars. Ensure that event details are accurate and updated in a timely manner. Monitor and report on the reach and impact of these listings.

GROUP SALES: Assist in developing and executing strategies to promote group sales, coordinating with local organizations, schools, and businesses to drive ticket sales and increase attendance for group events.

DIRECT MAIL ACCOUNTS: Keep track of bulk mail accounts for marketingcampaigns. Coordinate the preparation and distribution of bulk mail materials.

GENERAL OFFICE RESPONSIBILITES: Prepare and distribute meeting agendas, minutes, and other documentation. Place action items into Monday Tasks. Manage office supplies and inventory. Assist with the filing of invoices and departmental data entry. Assist with printing materials internally and distributing to Loretto-Hilton Center or Carriage House as needed. Assist with the display or delivery of signage to Front of House and Box Office as needed. Occasionally assist with picking up printed materials/signage/etc. from local vendors.


ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE AND QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Arts Administration, or a related field.

EXPERIENCE: 1-2 years of experience in marketing, preferably within the arts or entertainment sector.

SKILLS: 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok, etc.).
  • Experience with email marketing tools (e.g., Mailchimp, Constant Contact).
  • Basic knowledge of website content management systems (CMS) and SEO.
  • Familiarity with graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
