Tuesday | Mar. 26, 2019
The Rep is honored to have received nine 2019 St. Louis Theater Circle Awards, recognizing the outstanding work that appeared on our stages last year.
Our 2018-2019 season opener Evita led the way with seven awards, including outstanding production of a musical, ensemble in a musical and director of a musical (Rob Ruggiero). Evita's seven wins represent one of the biggest hauls in the Circle Awards' history – only The Rep's 2012 production of Sunday in the Park with George received more, with eight.
Retiring Rep artistic director Steven Woolf also received a lifetime achievement award.
