OUR STAGES
The Rep performs in two unique spaces at the Loretto-Hilton Center for the Performing Arts on the campus of Webster University.
The Virginia Jackson Browning Theatre is our grand 763-seat auditorium with a three-quarter thrust stage, offering an intimate view from every seat.
The Emerson Studio Theatre, whose capacity and stage arrangement vary by show, is a black box theatre that provides ‘adventurous theatre for adventurous theatre-goers,’ where bold, boundary-pushing performances come to life.
Although we share our venue with other arts organizations like Opera Theatre St. Louis and Webster University’s Sargent Conservatory of Theatre Arts, these organizations are separate from The Rep. For tickets to non-Rep productions in these spaces, please contact the producing organization.

🚗 Where should I park?
The Rep is in the heart of Webster Groves on the campus of Webster University, not far from Highway 44. There are currently four lots available for patron parking at The Rep.
♿ Is The Rep Accessible?
The Rep is dedicated to making theatre accessible for everyone. We offer accessible seating, listening devices, and more to ensure all guests are comfortable. Feel free to contact our Box Office (314-968-4925) to request accommodations.
⏰ What if I’m Late to the Performance?
We recommend arriving about 30 minutes before showtime to get settled in. Latecomers will be seated in the closest available spots and can move to their ticketed seats during intermission.
📱 What About My Phone?
Phones and electronic devices must be turned off prior to the performance, and texting is not allowed during the show.
📷 Can I Take Photos or Videos?
Photos are fine before the show or during intermission, but once the performance begins, no photos or recording. Tag us @repstl if you get a good shot!
🍿 Can I Snack During the Show?
Absolutely! Snacks and drinks are available at concessions. Drinks must have lids inside the theatre; outside food and drinks aren’t permitted.
🚭 What’s the Smoking Policy?
Smoking, e-cigarettes, and vaping are not permitted anywhere on the Webster University campus, including the Loretto-Hilton Center.
👕 What Should I Wear?
No dress code — come as you are! We want you comfortable, so wear whatever feels right for you.
👨👩👧👦 Can I Bring Kids?
Mainstage and Studio shows are geared toward ages 12+. Each show’s page has age recommendations. All patrons need a valid ticket, regardless of age.
🧥 Is There a Coat Check?
No formal Coat Check, but there’s a free hanging area in the House Right vestibule. The Rep isn’t responsible for items stored there.
🎟️ What Are the Benefits of Subscribing?
Subscribers enjoy discounted tickets, easy exchanges, and free parking.
💳 Why Are There Ticketing Fees?
Fees help cover costs like credit card processing, our ticketing system, and venue rental — no matter how you purchase.
🔄 Can I Get a Refund or Exchange My Tickets?
Tickets aren’t refundable but may be exchanged up to two hours before a performance (fee for non-subscribers; free for Season Ticket Holders).

Purchase gift certificates online or by calling the Box Office at 314-968-4925.
🏛️ Can I Purchase Tickets to Other Performances Here?
The Rep’s Box Office only sells Rep tickets. For Opera Theatre St. Louis or Webster University shows, contact them directly.
